Feeling anxious and lost sometimes

2023-12-28 21:39:46
Hi, I was in a toxic relationship with a boy for more than 6 years. He was abusive and narcissistic. He threatened me and posted my personal pictures online and had forced intercourse with me and I have a baby boy from him as a result. It's been almost 1.5 years since I managed to escape from all this. I am now happily married and have a wonderful family but because of my past life I have to attend court sessions sometimes and whenever I see that boy's face I feel like I am not able to breathe, my heart starts beating fast and I feel like dying. Now my baby is 2 years old and he looks very much like him. Seeing him all the past trauma comes like flashback. How can I get out of this feeling. Please suggest. Thank you

even if the baby resembles appearance wise like your ex who has been very abusive towards you. Still, he is a baby and buy a proper upbringing and with adequate emotional support he can be brought up as a good adjustable adaptable adult. As a mother, the child will be carrying 50% of your genes so kindly take care of the child, and try to overcome the past, and lead happy married life as you are having right now.
