Hai. Where is the exact location of pain?is it close to your heel?? Or somewhat in the mid section? What type of footwear do you use regularly? Did you change your footwear recently? Are you involved on activities that needs prolonged period of standing?do you experience pin pricking sensation in the morning time?
This might be a plantar fascitis or a calcaneal spur or strain due to over activity. Calcaneal spur can be confirmed by taking an Xray. If you have pinpricking sensation after sitting or lying down for a long time or mostly in the morning when you keep your foot down and walk.
Next Steps
Try using an insole. If you have recently changed your footwear then it might be the cause. Try keeping your sole of your foot on an ice pack for 15-20mints multiple times a day. avoid standing for long times.Avoid going for walk atleast for few days.
Along with it you can go with calf stretch.
-You need to stand at the edge of a step and then lift your body up . only your toes and some portion of your sole should be in contact with the step. Same way come down slowly until you feel a stretch behind your knees .
-In sitting position with one hand pull the heel and with other hand pull the toes in opposite directions. maintain this stretch for 15sec repeat for 5times 2-3 times a day followed by ice application to the sole or you can roll a frozen bottle with the foot.
-Move your ankles up and down side to side and rotate in clockwise and anticlockwise directions.
- If cold is increasing your pain then dip your foot in a warm water with pinch of salt.

proper protection of soles. Rest is required. icing multiple times a day will help. If still the pain persist you can do an ultrasound therapy at your nearest physio center or get checked by an ortho doctor.
