I appreciate your concern I can see how much of a good parent you'll be for your kids, the way you're so concerned. It's normal for the first time parents to feel like this. When you have kids; care, love and affection come effortlessly and it increases with every passing day. When your kids become your first priority, you don't even realise

Completely valid concerns and absolutely normal. 1 in 10 women struggle to bond with their baby, so you can realize how common that is. It's not an automatic process the way it's made out to be, but something that may very well take time. Sometimes depression or our own past childhoods may affect the way we relate to our kids, but that's definitely something that can also be helped through with therapy and/or medication. And remember, having kids is also always a choice - although an important one, and one that you need to be on the same page with your partner for. In the words of another therapist, "Relax! It's a relationship, not a performance. Don’t forget you have needs too, and they are important."
