Hi Doctors , I have a question .I have been diagnosed with grade 1 fatty liver and there is a slight increase in my SGOT/SGPT levels . I would like to know is there any requirement to start medicines or not as I have not got any satisfactory answer to the gastrentologist whom I consulted . I will share my LFT test report please advice me correctly . Also my weight is around 91 kg and height is 5 feet 11 inches .Please tell if there is any dietary changes I have to make .

Your liver enzymes are slightly higher than the normal.If you have been diagnosed as grade 1 fatty liver , treatment is directed towards changing life style.Your BMI is high 28.6 ie overweight by 11kg.

you need to keep your triglycerides levels under control , consult with dietician to plan for a suitable diet keep checking your liver function tests and lipid profile every 6 hours.

The only treatment for fatty live grade 1 is lifestyle modification which involves dietary changes and physical activities. No medications are available on this planet to treat fatty liver. It is really a "slight increase" in SGOT and SGPT level. For a grade One Fatty liver there is no indication for starting any medicine at present.

I donr think need of medication right now.but it should be controlled.avoid fatty oily foods..avoid alcohol ..have fibre and mineral rich diet..fruuts n vegetables..exercise 30min everday have weight control and things will fall in place
