You definitely should use night mode or ambient light mode on your phone especially when using it in the dark. Computer screens usually don’t need additional filters if using LED monitors. However please follow “Computer Vision Syndrome” guidelines which include blinking more frequently consciously when using computers and electronic screens, 20-20-20 : every 20min take a 20second break and look 20feet away (to break the spasm of eye muscles) and washing your eyes with cold clean drinking water to overcome dryness.
Next Steps
Computer vision syndrome guidelines. Check for spectacle prescription with Eye doctor.

Hello, Yes you can keep it in nightmode. But your eyestrain will reduce only if you take breaks in between. Every half hour take a few minutes of break, just keep your eyes closed. Use a lubricant eyedrops available over the counter. Wash your eyes with cool tap water.
Next Steps
Only if you take breaks and reduce screen time your eyestrain will reduce. we forget to blink when we are staring at the screen.
Health Tips
visit an eye clinic after a few months to check your eye power.
