Eye sight for 5 year old kid

My sister's kid is five years old and has minus 12 eyesight. Is it manageable in the future or very serious? Please help

It’s is not common to have such high powers. Kindly pick a good Ophthalmologist nearby you and have continuous follow up at the same place. Preferably a Peadiatric Ophthalmologist

This is high myopia and the kid needs a complete retinal evaluation. Degeneration of retune is associated with such high numbers at times. The power keeps changing over time as also the retinal changes. Please get an evaluation done
