Hi doctor, I have upper abdomen pain from 3 months doctor has suggested me upper endoscopy , I am scared of side effects of endoscopy . Do there is really life threatening side effects of endoscopy.

Pain upper abdomen from last three months warrenty an endoscopy.this procedure is totally safe n pain-free. Just go for it. Ignoring things can be dangerous in future

Endoscopy is not a very risky investigation, the main side effects include mild irritation n in adverse cases minor bleeds , u can consult me free of cost if needed

How long have you been suffering from upper abdomen pain ? What all investigations have you got done so far ? I am sure you must have shown all investigations to your treating Consultant. Upper GI endoscopy is not a very risky investigation . Everything will be fine.
