Effects of spasm in muscle near jaw area

2019-06-11 03:59:25
My jaw muscles have developed spasm, probably due to excessive  clenching type activity. As a result, it has changed the position of my jaw and bite, changed the shape of my face, jaw clicking and sometimes locking with some neck and back related problems. Can this activity permanently damage my jaw joint or something? Is this problem curable? How can I help myself with dentist's treatment (splint >splint+braces >braces) for this problem? Please help...

Nothing to worry about. Just visit a dentist. If there is any bite problem then braces or invisalign will work. It is curable. Do not perform clenching now. Also you can visit a cosmetologist for same.
Next Steps
Stop clenching habit.
Health Tips
Try to put mouth in relaxed condition. Don't bite again and again when not Chewing anything.
