My grandfather(Age 85)has a lymph node. Doctors suspect it to be Cancer. They have suggested to go for FNAC followed by a CT scan test.
Our concern is that if it is Cancer and we go for FNAC will that elevate the cancerious growth and spread the Cancer after FNAC examination process.
Shall we go for it without any harm to that lymph node and it's growth?

Answer to your question is FNAC does not lead to spread.
But FNAC is not adequate to diagnose malignancy, best would be to biopsy it if surgeon say biopsy is possible and can be done.
