Doctor or home fix?

Two weeks ago I smashed the top of my hand (between wrist and fingers) in a door. It bruised and swelled immediately. I had full movement, but it was painful. I did not go to doctor or ER for x-rays. It has been two weeks and it is still painful. If I bump it against even the softest thing I get a severe burning pain. There is a spot about the size of a quarter on the skin that is completely numb, no feeling at all when I touch it. And there is still moderate swelling.

Please get an Xray done. in any case please get a plaster slab (James Slab) applied on the affected side. Rest to the injured part for atleast two more weeks in the plster. with Anti-inflammatory and analgesic medication is imperative.

Get x-rays done to rule out fracture. Wear a cockup splint or get a slab applied for 2 weeks.
