Discoloration of lips and other
I have attached photos of my lips / mouth. Sry they are a bit gross!
We can see that the sides of my lips have darkened a lot and the darkness has spread inside of my lips.
My lips were always a little darker but this extreme darkness+ spreading inside my mouth is very recent. From 3-4 weeks
Accompanied with slight lip swealing and numbness. Like we experience after eating jamun or amla. It so evident that even my father noticed it today and said that it looks like dark green colour has been applied there. What is this? Is it due to dehydration? I have a habit of drinking very less water.

Hello there,
Darkening of lips can result from many reasons..
Smoking cigarettes
Excessive sun exposure,
Reaction from lipstick,
Too much caffeine etc..
If the darkening/Hyperpigmentation is limited to the lips then there is nothing to be worried about. But if this kind of darkening is visible in the skin of other parts of the body, it is a matter of concern.
