Depression

I am 21 years old. Lately I am always depressed and sad. I don't kniw why but I constantly feel that there is a huge weight on my heart. I am constantly afraid I don't know what i am afraid of but I am. I really want to feel light and happy please help me. I don't feel like talking to anybody.

From what you have written here, it does appear to be depression. But before giving a diagnosis,a detailed assessment will be required. Also, have you gotten your thyroid evaluated? If not then that is a test which should be done. Please see a psychiatrist/ connect with one online for detailed assessment following which your treatment can be started.

Dear mam I am sorry you are feeling this way. Feeling sad, lack of interest, crying spells, low Energy levels, tiredness, hopelessness, disturbed sleep and appetite can all be symptoms of depression. Depression is a treatable medical condition and can be effectively treated with medications and psychological therapy. Please see a psychiatrist for a detailed evaluation and further help.
