Blood tests do not help in diagnosing depression/anxiety. However, vitamin deficiencies and hypothyroidism/hyperthyroidism may also lead to depression/anxiety symptoms. That could be the reason your doctor must have suggested the tests. Your medicines might take up to 2 weeks.
