Dental braces
I am an IT professional and my teeth have wide gap between the front two teeth and a little crowded on left side. It's high time to get braces, but I want to know how much care and attention the process would require as my work requires me to work for more than 12hrs a day, and I'm mostly tired after work. I might get free time only on the weekends.
I would like to know how should the daily care be and how frequent visits would be required to the dentist? How much time would the process take if it can be estimated based on the info above?
Also, I need to be able to present and have a lot of conversations since half my work day goes in meetings. So, what kind of braces would be apt? I am guessing ceramic, so they are not very clearly noticed. Please suggest anything else that would be more suitable.
Treatment might take 8 months to 1.5 years( depending on whether you need removal of teeth)
With ceramic braces youl have to visit the orthodontist once a month.
Youl have to brush twice daily and rinse well after every meal.
You should avoid very hard and sticky foods and avoid biting into apples or snacks like nuts with your front teeth
You can expect pain for 2-3 days after every appointment
Initially you will take a week to get used to braces
You can talk with them
Clear aligners from clearpath and Invisalign are an option other than conventional ceramic braces but they are expensive
