Dental anaesthesia not working

Dr. Suggested me for root canal but dental anaesthesia is not working in that tooth... i feel the numbness overall but there was a pain in the tooth when she prick ,dr. Told its cz of the hot tooth and suggested me to take antibiotics for 2 days and come after that... what is the issue?

There might be a lot of infection in that tooth that is why the local anaesthesia is not working. You can take antibiotics and proceed with rct

Hello Hot tooth is the condition in which tooth pulp get sensitive and inflamed due to infection and is difficult to anesthetize.
