Why diabetic is allowed to eat dates but not allowed to eat dry dates ? I mean why allow to eat fresh dates but not dried dates ?

Hi, The fibre present in fresh dates is on the higher side than dried dates. Need to consume in moderation. Thanks

Hi.. To break the myth… Dates can be added to the diet in any form, whether it is fresh fruit or dried one. Dried dates are very nutritious. It is a good source for micronutrients such as Potassium, Magnesium, Copper, and Manganese. It is high in iron and calcium. Fresh dates are low in calories compared to dry dates. The 100 grams of dried dates and fresh dates contain about 280 and 145 calories, respectively. It is high in vitamin C.

Hello, There is no strict fixed rule book for  foods to include or foods to exclude.   Some general advices are present. But   what to eat in what quantity  and in what frequency is completely dependent on what is  person's current blood sugar or how  well hbA1c is maintained and risk associated with Diabetes.  Eg.Because of this one person may be allowed to  eat  fruits like banana etc or may have to stop taking any  fruit   completely for certain period of time.
