Is it a dry cough or with sputum? If sputum then what colour? Any associated chest pain? Any fever? Smoking? Night cough / early morning cough? Fever, weight loss, blood in sputum?

A cough lasting more than 2–3 weeks with chest heaviness/fullness needs proper evaluation, not self-medication. Possible causes: lingering chest infection, bronchitis, asthma, acid reflux, or allergy.
