Generally soft tissue injury takes time to heal. Do lots of ice application and take anti inflammatory medicines. If it doesn't settles down then you need to consult a doctor again

Could be a hairline fracture. Share your X-ray if you can. Keep applying ice. Do strapping of toes to keep it immobilised. Do not put pressure on it.

If x Ray is normal , it’s mostly a soft tissue damage or ligament sprains. It needs to be splinted. U can keep doing ice fomentation and give some rest.
Next Steps
Get it splinted.
Health Tips
Don’t walk or put weight on affected area.
