I have taken this syrup for my internal piles grade 1 which significantly improved my bleeding and made my stool super soft. Its been almost 18 days I have taken this syrup. My question is can I still take it or it will cause any harm to mybody. If this is harmful can you please suggest some other which can make my stool super soft and can be taken daily. My piles is 3 months old and seeing improvement from last 2 weeks after taking this syrup

Thanks for sending across your query. Laxative dependency is not good for a longer duration. Plz increase the intake of fibre in your diet. Make sure to take 2-3 litres of water everyday. You can use isabagol or triphla as a laxative on regular basis as it is not habit forming

You can continue to take it,  bur slowly try to wean it off by skipping it for a day or 2 intermittently. Because bowels get habituated to any laxative if taken continuously for long time, then they do not move on their own, I.e. without laxative. Take evening meals early, avoid heavy meals in evening. Ensure to include something hot and which stimulates bowels, like vegetable soup, moon  dal, hot milk without cream or hot water before sleeping. Take green vegetables, fruits like pappaya, regularly.

For longer duration this medication may lead gastric upset,cramps,diarrhea Avoid straining  Take syrup looz _5ml bd Lacitigol _1/2 spoon in100ml of warm water.
