If a dentist recommends her patient for Wisdom tooth extraction, shouldn't she tell the patient about possible post-surgical risks and complications that may arise so that the patient might consider meeting an experienced and expert oral surgeon? My dentist didn't tell me any except for that the surgery would be painless and that it won't take more than 10 mins. It has been 4 WEEKS since the extraction of my lower left wisdom tooth and (1) my mouth still opens only ~65%, (2) left half of tongue is still completely numb, (3) left half of tongue has annoying burning/tickling sensation, (4)upper portion of left half of tongue pains while trying to twist tongue upwards or sideways, (5) taste is also lost partially and sometimes while eating some things I feel like vomiting, (6) due to problems in tongue mentioned above I can't speak normally as I used to before the extraction, (7) while doing mouth opening exercises I feel and hear 'cut' sound in my bone near/around the extraction site.
