Cervical Stitch for Prone Diabetic

2025-02-03 21:30:06
Hi I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during my first pregnancy and advised to take glycomet 500 throughout the pregnancy and had cervical Stitch during my 14th week as the length was 2.7 cm Now I'm 15 wks pregnant and using glycomet 500 as per doctor advice and now sugars are under control and during my appointment cervical length was 3.3cm still my doctor is advising me to have cervical Stitch as I'm prone diabetic and cervix might open or widen at any time. I'm very much afraid of anesthesia and don't want to undergo the same procedure again. Should I go ahead and take cervical Stitch or can it be maintained with sustain 400 progesterone tablet

Cervical length more than 2.5 cm is normal You do not require a stitch at length 3.3 CM
