Your problem depends on how much disc prolapse do u have and which structures are affecting. Electrotherapy will relief ur pain along with the manual therapy that u need to continue with the Physiotherapist. So better u visit to the Physiotherapist and continue treatment for next couple of days. Also do neck isometrics and use Hot water Fomentation

It will be Good if you share your xray or MRI report on this platform to understand the gravity of the problem.... the problem depends on the degree of herniation and any co factors which are associated with it ... Do you have Localised neck pain or have tingling pain in your arms and hands too? What medications are you on? Keep doing static neck exercises...however regarding modalities it may or may not benefit you as it can just give you symptomatic relief but the main pathology should be addressed.

If their is radiation then TENS is required as well as ultrasonic therapy to release spasm. U might not get control of your pain in 14 days... U need to do exercises regularly.
Next Steps
Whenever problem occurs consult Physiotherapist who is a qualified practitioner.
Health Tips
Use cervical collar support.

It's essential, U share your Digital X-ray Cervical A.P & lateral nd MRI wd me to ascertain the gravity of problem & that how much pressure/damage it's causing to the adjoining structures.                                   U may take Hot pack first, then Ultrasonic of 1 Mega Hertz, Laser therapy &Tens therapy, in this sequence. Just think positive that these therapies will reduce your pain. Manual Therapy nd Chiropractic manipulation R the mainstays for this & will surely  provide U complete relief. Start doing sidewise movements of neck  & lifting of soulder 15 times at a time nd statistic neck exercises. Don't do any rotating of neck.
Next Steps
Go for digital X Ray or better for a MRI.
Health Tips
Use pillow of Medium height nd Cervical Collar, Brand Tynor
