Cervical headache

I went gym for a week and then suddenly headache started and area below shoulders pain started! Headache is back of head and top of head and sometimes on temples ! And also got brain MRI done but it is normal! And xray of cervical spine is done which shows my cervical spine is straight! Now i am doing physiotherapy since 2 days but no relief in headache! Please suggest what to do?

Yes continue physiotherapy because this is the only option for you condition, your cervical spine is straight because of your occupation or wrong posture habit, when you started gym , it gave more stress to your shoulder and neck region and you started feeling the symptoms...

Mostly your headache is caused by neck muscles strain due to strenuous exercises at gym. Not to worry much.

just be cautious while doing any exercises at gym. hot fermentation at back of the neck will help and later do strengthening of deep neck flexors.

Your pain could be due to heavy weight lifting and your neck muscles could not cope up.
Next Steps
You should give hot water fomentation twice a day for 15-20 minutes. You should do neck stretching and strengthening exercises with proper guidance. You can use Volini gel or spray provided you are not allergic.

Hello You are a young girl so nothing to worry you will be fine soon You might lifted heavy weight suddenly Foccus on your posture ,And try to avoid forward neck bending that causes more pain You can use cervical pillow because it has normal cervical curve that helps you in some extent

It will take time so have patience. Basically you have lost the normal curvature of your cervical spine. Do the exercises regularly like chin tucks, scap sets and avoid mobile phone, tv etc. Keep your posture correct. Avoid excessive bending of the neck

Your straightening of cervical spine may be because of tightening of SCM Muscle. Cover your neck with cotton cloth. Apply ointment and do moist heat.

Everybody is different and take it own time to heal so please continue physiotherapy treatment for atleast two weeks. And as you said your cervical spine straight then to recover back to its original condition it takes time. So don't stop doing physio therapy. And keep patience.
