Cavity remain After RCT
I recently done RCT in my second lower molar teeth. After my RCT doctor prepare (cutting) for crown. Now i can see black dot(like cavity) in my teeth that can be see in photo. so is it safe for crown or need to clean an refilling?

All the black spots may not be cavity...There are two types of caries lesion...
1.Infected
2.Affected
Infected caries is black and soft that needs to be removed
Affected caries are brownish and no need to remove that
Your clinical picture appears absolutely normal..
Hoever clinical examination can also be done for furthur confirmation

The black dot you are referring seems dark brown. There are two types of carious lesions affected and infected.
Infected is black in colour and soft on exploration, it needs to be removed as it is not going to revive or remineralize while affected is brown in colour, hard on exploration and can remineralize so can be left behind.
