As your orthodontic treatment is going on it is very much advisable to keep your oral hygiene good or else it will cause cavities and other problems. It is advisable to rinse your mouth with water after every meal so that it dislodges the food particals which gets stuck in ur braces. And brushing after 30-60mins is advisable.
Next Steps
have scaling(cleaning ) done as per your orthodontist advice.
Health Tips
use mouthwashes twice daily.

Rinse your mouth vigorously after meal. That will help in keeping the braces free of food particles. You shouldn't keep a gap of half n hour before n after meals.

it is better to wait for sometime and then brush. Instead, you can rinse your mouth with water/mouthwash, and then wait for sometime to brush(around 30-60mins). This is because the food which we eat breaks down into acidic substances, and immediately brushing might weaken your enamel. Your saliva itself has the potential to neutralize this acid within 30mins, so after that you can brush.
