I m a severe chronic asthma But in this season hot n humid my condition always worsen and I have to use oral steroids

Using frequent oral steroid indicate that your asthma is not under control. Regular inhaled steroid and bronchodilator therapy , used in proper way ( should be demonstrated by doctor otherwise wastage of medicine and it will not work) can give a normal life to an asthmatic patient.

Do tests- 1. CXR pa view 2. PFT 3. CBP, ESR , AEC 4. Serum IgE Review with reports.

1. Get cbc and sputum culture to rule out infection as a trigger. Even cxr can too be done. 2. You are saying seasonal acute excerbations happen. You can take short acting bronchodilators with inhaled corticosteroids combinations eg; Duolin+ Budecort every 2-3 hours till u get relief. If no relief in 24 hours get into hospital for further management by a pulmonologist. 3. 3-5% patients do not respond, known as difficult to treat asthma. Inj MgSo4 2 gm IV can be given. Leukotrines antagonists like montelucast can also be added. 4. Gina guidelines can be followed.
