It’s a vague question, anyone who start up exercises after a break it’s like a new beginning and no wonder pain will occur... Some tips I can share is do your proper warm up and stretches at the beginning and start with slow pace include more cardio and end up with cool down stretches.. slowly include more intense exercises.. Drink more water and include meditation if possible to relieve stress related...

You had a large gap of 3 months.. your muscles were relaxed all this while.. you have exercised and ur muscles are pumped up... there is wear and tear of muscle fibre.. it is called delayed onset of muscle soreness (DOMS) which is common after exercising..
Next Steps
Use cold pack if pain persist.. and consult a physiotherapist if pain doesn’t subside within 72hours..
Health Tips
Start from light to medium weights so that muscle gets use to the weights and exercises.. progress gradually.. be gentle with your body... Make sure you warm up and cool down properly.. involve good stretching post exercise... have protein Intake and good sleep for fast muscle recovery..

As suggested earlier Delayed onset muscle soreness could be the issue. You will ha e to stretch and ice the bigger muscle groups. Athletes internationally use a contrast bath meaning ice and heat and then recover in a hydrotherapy pool. Using icing and a ward shower after could help with good stretching. Sometimes it could be that you are over doing the repetitions. So try altering that and use breaks in between exercises.
