Painless blood in stool could be problematic if Piles and anal fissure has been ruled out. Colonoscopy is necessary for this point and mucosal biopsy. investigation - CBC ,ESR, CRP, stool examination ,USG whole abdomen. Physical examination and gastroenterologist consultation also advised.

Bright red blood in stool that: • Appears for 1–2 days • Recurs every 6–8 months • Is red (not black) Most commonly suggests: ✔ Hemorrhoids (Piles) – most common Especially if: • Blood is seen on toilet paper • Blood drips after stool • Associated with constipation • Straining during motion ✔ Anal fissure If there is: • Sharp pain while passing stool • Burning sensation Less common but important to rule out: • Polyps • Inflammatory bowel disease • Infection • Colorectal pathology (especially if age >40) Bright red blood usually means lower anal canal source, not stomach or upper intestine. If bleeding is recurrent every few months, hemorrhoids are very likely.
Next Steps
Immediate measures: ✔ Increase fiber (25–30 g/day) ✔ Drink 2.5–3 liters water daily ✔ Avoid straining ✔ Sitz bath (warm water sitting) 10–15 minutes twice daily ✔ Use topical hemorrhoid ointment (if mild piles suspected) If constipation present: • Add stool softener (like lactulose or ispaghula husk) ⸻ You must see a doctor if: • Bleeding lasts more than 3–4 days • Blood mixed inside stool • Unintentional weight loss • Change in bowel habits • Severe pain • Age above 40 (colonoscopy may be advised) Since this is recurrent, a physical examination (proctoscopy) is recommended to confirm diagnosis rather than assuming.
Health Tips
• Avoid long sitting on toilet • Do not delay urge for stool • Reduce spicy and very oily food • Maintain healthy weight • Regular physical activity improves bowel movement Very important: If you are under 40 and bleeding is fresh red and associated with straining, hemorrhoids are most likely. But because it is recurring every 6–8 months, a one-time evaluation by a physician is advisable to confirm and prevent complications. If you tell me: • Your age • Whether there is pain while passing stool • Whether you have constipation I can guide you more specifically. Recurrent bleeding should not be ignored — early evaluation makes treatment simple and prevents long-term issues.

Fresh red blood in stool at your age is most commonly due to piles or a small tear, especially if it comes and goes. It is usually not serious but should not be ignored. Take plenty of water and fiber, and avoid straining. Consult me for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Hello, Fresh red blood in stool occurring occasionally (every 6–8 months) at your age is most commonly due to hemorrhoids (piles) or an anal fissure, especially if you have constipation or hard stools. Common causes:• Passing hard stool / straining• Constipation with low-fiber diet• Small tear (fissure) in anal canal• Internal hemorrhoids
Next Steps
What you can do (for 1–2 weeks):• Take a stool softener like Lactulose 15–20 ml at bedtime or Isabgol husk with warm water.• Apply local ointment for fissure/piles (like Anovate or lidocaine + nifedipine preparation) 2–3 times daily and after passing stool.• Warm sitz bath (sit in lukewarm water) for 10–15 minutes twice daily.• Increase fiber (fruits, vegetables, oats) and drink 2–3 liters water daily.• Avoid straining and prolonged sitting on the toilet.
Health Tips
Important: Since this is recurring, you should get a clinical examination by a surgeon/proctologist once to confirm the diagnosis. Red flag symptoms (need urgent evaluation):• Weight loss• Weakness/anemia• Blood mixed inside stool (not just on surface)• Persistent bleeding >1–2 weeks• Family history of bowel disease Most cases are benign and treatable, so don’t worry.

Can you plz tell if the blood comes always or only when you get constipated. The blood is always fresh red or it is black also some time. Is there any skin tag coming from your anal canal. Is there any other symptom other than this.
