2025-12-21 06:08:33
Hi doctor I transfer IVF- ICSI for first time on 4th Dec 2025 with 2 FET blastocyst. After day 13 Beta HCG test done on 16th Dec 2025 which was 3.95. Repeat Beta HCG test done after 48 hours which was 2.19. It's negative I know. I want to know the possible reason why it failed? Was my implantation succesful?  Means it's implant but not growing?or it failed to implant? Also what I should do next time for better result? I have only 1 blastocyst left.before transfer what I do? Kindly advise doctor.

There are no "possible reasons". Every attempt at IVF-ET comes with about 40-50% failure. Make an attempt again after about 3 months. It may succeed.

Success rate for each cycle is 30-40%. Your fertility specialist is the best person to discuss cause of failure and how to improve chances next time.

1) Why it failed? Need to know the grade of blastocyst and have u done Pre genetic screening of embryo ? What is your age if ur age is above 35yrs then genetic anomalies are common leading to implantation failures. 2) implantation was successful or not we need to see if u were on Inj HCG 2000/5000 IU then it is not implanted but if u have not taken HCG injection post transfer then it had implanted giving u biochemical positive result but it didn't grow further. 3) To plan further i would like to know ow ur previous history whether u had similar losses before or any other natural conception losses etc and then we can plan properly further... plus single blast with genetic screening done if ur transferring success rate with single blast is 40%.
Next Steps
please look in your endometrial lining thickness , vascularity, infection, 3D of the uterus etc before transfer if required u can plan. All the best 👍

- *Why it failed*: Possible reasons are embryo quality, uterine lining issues, or hormonal factors, and embryo selection.
Next Steps
