Hello, Thank you for sharing your concern in detail. Based on your symptoms — bald tongue, inflammation of filiform papillae, upper gumline swelling without bleeding, and a burning/ulcer-like sensation without visible ulcers — it sounds like a complex issue that may be linked to: 🔹 Nutritional deficiencies (especially Iron, B12, Folate) 🔹 Oral fungal infections (even if not visibly apparent) 🔹 Stress-related conditions like Burning Mouth Syndrome 🔹 Hormonal or systemic issues Since you’ve already taken B-complex and Rebagen with no relief, here are my suggestions:
Next Steps
Get these blood tests done (you can ask your physician for a prescription): CBC (Complete Blood Count) Serum Vitamin B12 Serum Ferritin (iron) Folic Acid Blood Sugar (Fasting) Visit a specialist in Oral Medicine & Diagnosis — preferably at a government dental college or hospital with expert evaluation facilities. Clinical Exam + Picture — If you can share a clear photo of your tongue and palate, it will help narrow down the diagnosis.
Health Tips
Mouthwash: Use Coolora or Hexidine mouthwash twice daily. Gel: Apply Mucopain or Dologel CT before meals to reduce burning. Tablet: only after doctor’s consultation. Avoid: Spicy food, smoking, alcohol-based mouthwashes, and excessive brushing of tongue. Please don’t delay further — proper diagnosis is key. If you're in or near Mumbai or Pune, I can suggest nearby government dental colleges too. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Let me know if you need help reading the reports once done. — Dr. Nita Kalambe Shree Dental Care & Implant Center, Poladpur 📍[Poladpur | Birwadi, Raigad District]

Hi! Since it’s been more than 10 days with symptoms like bald tongue, inflamed papillae, swelling near the upper gums, and a constant burning/ulcer-like sensation, it’s a good idea to get this checked properly. Sometimes, this can be due to nutritional deficiencies (like low iron, B12, or folate), or even an oral fungal infection that may not be visibly obvious. Since you’ve already tried B-complex and Rebagen without much relief, it’s best to get a few basic blood tests done, like CBC, iron profile, and Vitamin B12. I’d also recommend visiting a dental college or hospital with an Oral Medicine & Diagnosis department in Delhi. A few good options include: – Maulana Azad Dental College – Jamia Millia Islamia Dental College – ESIC Dental College (Rohini) Meanwhile, avoid spicy foods and alcohol-based mouthwashes. You can use Mucopain gel or Dologel CT before meals if there’s burning, and rinse with warm salt water 2–3 times a day. Let me know if you need help with the test list or finding the department nearby. Dr. Mohammed Nahyan.

Hello maam. Kindly tell the symptoms which you are experiencing like burning sensation on eating food or sensation of pain or pain on palpation and if possible attach the photo of tongue. For me, it seems to be Burning mouth syndrome for now but final diagnosis can only be made after seeing the condition.
Next Steps
For now, you can apply turbocort gel two times in a day on affected area and use hexidine m/w and take SM fibro tablet bd for 7 days.
