Once the post surgery recovery is done, you need to progress towards exervises. Core strengthening exercises, yoga and Pilates exercises are good for strengthening exercises. The exercises will need to be done for about 6-9months to have a good effect.

Exercises depends on kind of surgery. Stretching +strengthening exercises are required. A proper follow up of Physiotherapy regime for at least one month is good to get proper strength, range(movement), co-ordination and become pain free.
