Ayurveda for bacterial infection

Can Ayurvedic medicines cure bacterial infections without the need for antibiotics? I have viral fever with bacterial infection (green coloured mucus). I consulted Patanjali doctor and the doctor prescribed these medicines. maha sudarshan vati 1 or 2 tablets twice or thrice a day before food (depending on fever). Giloy ghan vati 1 tablet twice a day before food. tribhuvan kirti ras 2 tablets twice a day after food. laxmi vilas ras 2 tablets twice a day after food and sanjeevani vati (for infection) 1 tablet thrice a day after food. doctor said I need to take these medicines for 15 days, because I had cough and bacterial infection recently and took antibiotics for a week and got cured and infected again now. she says longer course will help in improving my immunity and also suggested to take giloy ghan vati 1 tablet twice a day for 3 months after recovery to improve my immunity. my question is can ayurvedic medicines cure bacterial infection? I don't want to take antibiotics once again.

Severe and acute infection is better to treat with modern antibiotics as the disease may progress and turn to complications. As Ayurvedic are total extact it take timefor a complete  cure on the contrary antibiotics  are specific and work suddenly. At acute times it is essential.when it has become chronic Ayurveda is advisable. Ayurveda change the favourable environment  of the pathology and boosting the immunity to fight against the infection and there by cure.
