These results suggest mildly raised total/LDL cholesterol with HDL that could be better; treatment depends on BP, diabetes, smoking, thyroid status and family history, not one report alone. Start heart-healthy meals, regular exercise and weight control, and review the full fasting lipid profile with a physician. hs-CRP can rise with infection or inflammation, so repeat it when well rather than interpreting it in isolation. You may book a Practo consult or meet me at Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj.

Your lipid profile shows mildly elevated LDL cholesterol, while HDL is acceptable. hs-CRP is also elevated, which can occur due to various causes and needs to be interpreted in the clinical context. Menstrual day 3 does not significantly change the interpretation of these results. Please consult me for detailed assessment and personalised management, including whether repeat testing or further evaluation is required. I am available for online consultation Word of Caution Lifestyle measures such as a balanced diet and regular physical activity are advisable. A single elevated hs-CRP value should not be a cause for alarm.

It seems like your LDL levels are up and CRP is also elevated, which could indicate dyslipidaemia. Could you share if you have any history of high blood pressure or heart problems?

If she is otherwise well, repeat hs-CRP when completely healthy, preferably after the period and with no recent infection, usually after a few weeks. Repeat a fasting lipid profile if the original test wasn’t fasting. Check BP, fasting glucose, HbA1c, thyroid function (TSH) . Focus on diet, regular exercise, healthy weight, adequate sleep and avoiding smoking. At age 36, don’t start a statin based on these numbers alone unless there are additional cardiovascular risk factors or a clinician identifies a specific indication.
