Hi
It sounds like you’ve been struggling with performance anxiety or social anxiety since childhood, and it still affects you during presentations. You’re not alone—many people experience this, and the good news is, you can work on it and improve.
Here’s one useful tip:
Start with a simple exposure exercise: Practice speaking alone first, then record yourself, then practice in front of one friend, and gradually increase your audience size. This step-by-step exposure trains your brain to handle the anxiety in a controlled way.
Along with that, try deep breathing (4-7-8 method) before speaking—
• Inhale for 4 seconds,
• Hold for 7 seconds,
• Exhale for 8 seconds.
This reduces heart rate & shakiness.
