Anxiety tiredness

2026-09-23 13:06:27
I have been experiencing constant tiredness, fatigue, and a significant lack of energy lately. I was taking medication for anxiety from January this year, but I stopped taking it around June. Since then, I have been feeling increasingly low on energy, and even routine daily activities sometimes feel physically exhausting and require me to push myself considerably. I often feel drained without doing much physical activity and am concerned about why this is happening. I have also experienced significant unintentional weight loss over the past several months. I would like to understand what could be causing these symptoms and whether I need any blood tests or other medical evaluation.

Persistent fatigue with unintentional weight loss needs medical evaluation and should not be attributed to anxiety alone. Causes may include anaemia, thyroid disease, diabetes, nutritional deficiency, infection or medication-related issues. Please arrange an examination and basic blood tests, and review your mental-health treatment rather than restarting medication yourself. Book a Practo consultation with me for a structured evaluation.
Next Steps
Track your weight and symptoms, and seek prompt care if weakness becomes severe, you faint, develop breathlessness or continue losing weight rapidly.

Anxiety medications can't be stopped abruptly actually but as you already left don't start it abruptly without consultation get your consultation done and start meds again after that and depending on symptoms you can go for blood tests too
