Antibiotics effect
I am suffering from mid severe toothache due to infection, dentist prescribed me Amoxicillin, its been like 1.5 day only of me taking it but still relief in pain isn't observed. May i know when i can expect antibiotic to work fully on it??

- Root canal treatment will actually help you subside the pain. Antibiotics won't be needed after that.

It depends on the dosage you're taking. And if the case is long standing infection it might have become a hot tooth, means in such cases, medication works very slowly than usual and treatment is needed for pain relief. Also if there's any painkillers advised, you can have that.

As you mentioned it's an antibiotic. Antibiotics help reduce the infection which takes around 3-7 days to resolve. Meanwhile if there is pain which is bothering you then you need to take a pain killer.
The pain will subside once the infection is cleared off if you don't take the painkiller.
