I have twisted ankle now its swelling and paining a lot whilr walking how long does it take pain to go away.is it requires xray.pain happens only when I walk or twist

Based on ur history it looks like an ankle sprain Which basically takes 4 to 6 weeks to heal in some it might take 8 weeks too.

1)Get an x ray ankle to rule out any fractures. 2)Limb elevation with 2 pillows 3) Good ice pack compressions 4)Crepe bamdage application/ankle binder to prevent furthur stress on ligaments. 5)Analgesic zerodol sp twice daily and chymoral forte thrice daily to reduce inflammation and swelling for a week...
