Hello sir... yes it will give good support if the lateral incisor is strong enough to support the pontic....x-ray has to be taken to check for the crown root ratio of lateral incisor...if the proper precaution of not biting in front teeth has to be taken then it will last for many years... you need to maintain good oral hygiene to prevent food lodgement....

Lateral incisors are not strong enough to give support to missing central incisors. The basic biomechanics involves the minimum support of equal or larger abutments. Refer Ante’s law.

If the tooth is sound enough it surely will support. If the support is less your dentist will definitely advice you for a secondary abutment.... You need not worry
