Amul tetrapak milk

Is amul tetrapak milk safe to drink? Package says it contains no preservatives, it is processed under UHT (ultra heat treatment) so it doesn't require preservatives. Should I drink tetrapak milk everyday?

Hello, Greetings from Dietitian Souvik Chakraborty, Ultra Pasteurisation is such a process where milk to be heated more than 135°C where maximum amount of bacteria got damaged & stored in inactive Gas medium in non reactive polymer coated pack, if it's stored outside frize,it will be fine. The process is 100% safe to have & the expiry date market to be focused as per guidance. So you can drink tetra pack on daily basis but following the instructions written outside pack.

Hai good evening, As package says, tetrapack milk is processed under UHT. It is safer to use. While it doesn't mean that other 2 options (raw milk and packet milk) are not safe. Raw milk, we get directly from local dairies and it is unpasteurized. Packet milk is pasteurized which means milk is heated and then cooled immediately under certain temperature to get rid of bacteria and impurities.
Next Steps
So whichever milk you choose to consume other than tetrapack milk, boil it thoroughly and then consume.
Health Tips
It depends on one's economic condition, liking of type of milk (tetrapack or raw or packet) etc. We can't force you to drink this or that. So the choice is yours. Have a healthy day!! 😊 Thank you With regards Dt Chithira

Tetra pack almond milk is not recommended. Shelf life of tetra pack things can be increased only by adding preservatives. It’s better to make natural almond milk with 6-8 almonds
