Discuss with your orthopaedic surgeon. If there was no concern during the surgery, then you should stop using brace. If you continue using brace for more than a month then there is risk of developing stiffness in knee movements. The ideal goal should be bending knee more than 90 degree after 3 weeks. Exercise your quadriceps muscle and use a walking stick if feeling apprehensive while walking. Try to wean off walking aid over next 2 weeks.

Physiotherapy is helps after ACL surgery. But if pain persist even after 3 weeks of surgery, it needs treatment. Consulting pain management consultant will help you in diagnosing and treating the condition.
