Hi, I would be traveling from Mumbai to Leh directly. Is it required to take any medicine like Diamox to avoid Acute Mountain Sickness? If yes, When should it be taken?

The main thing is acclimatisation. You have to go SLOW. Please consult with me on the subject because I have direct experience of having stayed in Laddakh for 2 years.

It is not that much height to give mountain sickness. If you want, you can take diamox.one day before your journey and 2 hrs before your journey

Yes. Shud be taken 1 day before reaching the mountain . Acclimatization may take 2-3 days. To continue meds till then. Reach out for a prescription.
