ACL tear/insufficiency causes false buckling of PCL If you do not want further damage to your knee Cartilage due to instability in the ACL deficient knee, do consider Arthroscopic ACL reconstruction. Pre and post surgery physiotherapy definitely helps.
Next Steps
See an Orthopedic surgeon who regularly does Arthroscopic surgeries in your area and discuss your options. Surgical reconstruction is definitely recommended but best decided after physical examination since we do not treat just the reports but the patient.
Health Tips
Regular Exercises Avoid Sports activities

Acl tear is best treated by surgery.  Physiotherapy only helps to strengthen the knee muscles not heal the ligament

Treatment depends on the level of activity and nature of symptoms. If there is buckling or instability with routine activities of daily living or if your activity level is high then surgery is the best option for treating this injury. However, the best judge would be Sports Orthopedic surgeon who can examine you.
