Namaskaram, After extraction of a tooth, the pain lasts for 2 days for which medications are generally prescribed. There could be a variety of reasons for the pain to last for more than 3 to 4 days. Alveolar Osteitis or Dry socket is one among them. A dental professional will be able to help you rule out the flaw with care and attention far better than a search engine. Go to the dentist who has done the surgery and he can check whether it’s dry socket or not. Healing of socket takes 10 days for wound closure and bone healing to start. Please visit a dentist ASAP
