Natural foods to relieve constipation are sugar, honey, fruits and fruit juices. Include them in the diet and continue breast feeding. If necessary consult a Paediatrician.

It is quite common for babies to have harder stools after starting solids. Continue breastfeeding/formula feeds as usual and offer a few sips of water with meals. You can include fiber-rich foods such as papaya, pear, prunes, peach, chikoo, oats, and vegetable purees. Avoid excessive rice cereal, banana, biscuits, and processed foods if stools are hard.
