Every child has his unique behavior, understanding and learning from the environment,it is fine if he does not play like other kids in his surrounding maybe he has some different pattern of connecting.we as parents should never force or compare (directly or indirectly) our kids to be like others try to understand his ways. There are kids who are intrinsically calm try to observe what he likes doing.
Health Tips
try reading him out  bedtime stories, many a times child open up about his likings and inclinations when he sees his primary caregivers in relax state and ready to listen.

Talk to your child to find out what his interests are about. Try to explore with different toys and games. Even parents should try to involve with their children. Consult a counsellor if above steps don't work. Furthermore you can consult a child psychologist or a psychiatrist. In Delhi, you may visit IHBAS for the same.
Next Steps
Consult a Clinical Psychologist (if required).

Each child (and even grown-up) is different. At about age 6, do you really want your son to behave in a stereotypical way? I would suggest you not to try and modify his behaviour in a way that you want it to be. Ideally let him be the way he is, unless his behaviour has obvious deficiencies, which in this case does not seem to be. This much said, I would like you to check out if he is being dealt with at home as an 'individual' in an age-appropriate way. Maybe assigning more responsibilities and involving him in day to day activities, decision making (of course as applicable for his age) etc. will improve his social skills as an individual, leading to his better interactions with his friends. If you still find things not normal with him, please consult a psychologist on getting a picture on dealing with him in a better way.
Next Steps
Consult a psychologist if necessary.

Hi... Every child is unique and they grow as per their own pace. There is always a range and not an absolute age to develop a particular ability or interest. He might be exploring some other aspects of his life. He might develop interest towards other things like art, academics, people, etc. Not every child is too excited about play. Still if you have any doubts related to his proper growth, you can Consult a Pediatrician or a Child Psychologist for professional guidance and support.
Next Steps
No action needed. For Guidance consult a Pediatrician or a Child Psychologist.

Each child grows differently and can have varied interests. So you as a parent  can try to figure that out initially, but if you still do not find his behaviour normal. Kindly consult a Psychologist to help a healthy growth.
