Amblyopia treatment
Recently, I realised that I have got a amblyopia(lazy eye). My left eye is losing vision. It didn't occurred to me earlier and what I believe from what I have read that it is something which starts developing since childhood. But, trust me, I never ever realised it. In the recent past, I had a doubt that my left eye vision is blur. Now, I'm worried that I will loose the complete vision. On the contrary, my right eye is perfectly fine.
Can you please advise me what treatment is available for this? Can you recommend some hospital and a doctor?

Amblyopia can be treated maximum upto the age of 15 years.
After that the vision will remain the same, it won't improve but neither will it come down.
You realised it now as brain adapts to see with one eye only and this late realisation happens with many.
So don't worry, just get a detailed check up from an ophthalmologist once.

Hi,
If you have been diagnosed with Amblyopia or lazy eye..you will not loose vision any further. treatment at this age may not be possible, but some options can be tried depending on the refractive error.
If u feel concerned , you can visit us for second opinion
