Hi, Ur husband is having alcohol dependence syndrome.Alcohol causes behavioral changes in the person under intoxicated state especially. Being abstinent for 1.5yrs is appreciable. But relapse to alcohol is also very common. Need to looks into the factors behind the relapse and deal with those with medications/counselling. Remember that once Ur husband relapses when he is on medications, donot delay in visiting the doctor. Its easy to deal with him when he doesn't go back to heavy drinking. Even now, you take him to a psychiatrist first.
