Alcoholic cardiomyopathy
Will an ECG diagnose/detect alcoholic cardiomyopathy? What are its symptoms? If I have it, do I need to put a permanent end to alcohol or just a temporary end till I'm back to normal? And How serious is it? Been consuming alcohol for 5 years and last month, only once I experienced faster heart beat after drinking.

Don't panic... Drinking too much alcohol can cause increased heart rate...you may or may not have alcoholic side effects considering your age and years of alcohol consumption...but I would like to advice you to consult nearest physician for clinical examination and investigations like ECG etc Regards
