Alcohol abuse
My father has been drinking for 30 years every night. He leaves for 1 day then starts again. But now he has decided to quit finally. What steps should we take as we've heard quitting alcohol suddenly can cause withdrawal symptoms that can be severe. He has severe back pain also so he can't visit a hospital anytime soon. What steps should we take to quit? Thank you

Hello, it's great that we has decided to quit. It's a collective process where family members also play a role in rehabilitating the person back to normal life. Please consult a psychiatrist online. I can give you contacts of a few if you cannot visit one personally right now. His back ache needs to be treated as well.

Health Tips
Watch out for him on the symptoms as the psychiatrist would inform you, withdrawal will have its own effects as you said.
