Your blocked ear is due to Eustachian tube dysfunction. Eustachian tube dysfunction is when the tube connecting your throat and middle ear gets inflamed and plugged up.
Next Steps
How to correct ET tube dysfunction? Decongestant spray is VERY helpful to resolve eustachian tube dysfunction, but do NOT use this spray daily for long period of time as people do get addicted to this medication (a condition known as rhinitis medicamentosa). Steroid and anti-histamine nasal sprays can also be used.
Health Tips
How can I clear the Eustachian tube naturally? Blocked eustachian tubes often get better on their own. You may be able to open the blocked tubes with a simple exercise. Close your mouth, hold your nose, and gently blow as if you are blowing your nose. Yawning and chewing gum also may help.
